Private Lessons
Elmhurst Music Academy provides private lessons in a variety of instruments.

Guitar
We offer guitar lessons for acoustic, classical and electric guitar.
Piano
We offer piano lessons in a variety of musical styles, and also provide the option of studying voice and piano together.
Drums
If you are not sure which instrument to start out with, drums are an excellent place to start as they teach rhythmic fundamentals.
Bass
Our bass lessons are taught on either the upright bass or on electric.
Voice
Voice lessons teach students to use the one instrument that everyone has: their voice. We encourage students who do not have experience playing an instrument to take combination voice and piano lessons.
Violin
The violin is an excellent instrument for students looking to develop pitch and can be picked up at a very early age.
Private Lessons: The Most Efficient Way to Learn
Private lessons are the best and most efficient way to learn to play an instrument. Not all students learn the same way and all will have different learning styles. With private lessons, each of our teachers can adapt to each student’s own learning style to make the lessons productive and fun.
Lessons Vary in Length
Lessons are offered once per week for 30, 45, or 60 minutes. For beginners and those taking lessons for the first time, we recommend starting out with 30-minute lessons. See Tuition & Registration to price packages for each length of lesson.
Schedule Individually
Another nice thing about private lessons is that they are all scheduled individually. You can schedule the lesson time around your other activities. See Scheduling & Cancellation to learn more about scheduling private lessons.
